Personality disorders are a mental illness:


It is a mental illness and not take easy. People with personality disorders tend to own severe and straightforward personality traits that will hurt their co-workers.

Additionally, the individual’s thinking and behavior are significantly different from society’s expectations and are so rigid that they impede the overall functioning of the individual.

Examples include anti-social psychological disorder, personality disorder, and paranoid psychological disorder.


Anxiety disorders are a mental illness:

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD):


It is a type of horrible mental illness. It may be a condition that will develop after a traumatic and/or horrific event, like a sexual or physical assault, the unexpected death of a dear, or a natural disaster.


People with PTSD often have lasting and frightening thoughts and memories of the event and are emotionally blunt.


Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD):


In this mental illness people with OCD suffer from constant thoughts or fears that cause them to perform certain rituals or routines.

Obsessions of disturbing thoughts are called rituals. someone who has an unreasonable fear of microbes is washing his hands constantly.


Stress Response Syndromes (formerly called adjustment disorders):


In this type of mental illness stress response syndromes occur when someone develops emotional or behavioral symptoms in response to a stressful event or situation.


Stress may include natural disasters like an earthquake or tornado; events or crises, like a car accident or major illness diagnosis.


Or personal problems like divorce, death of a lover, loss of employment, or misuse. Stress response syndromes usually begin within three months after the event or condition. It ends six months after the strain has ceased.


Dissociative disorders:


The person with this mental illness suffers changes in memory, consciousness, and general awareness of themselves and their surroundings.



Gender disorder is a mental illness:


Both gender identity issues and feelings of dysphoria can manifest in different ways. A man with feminine sexual characteristics may be personally identified as a male but may continue to present himself as a woman.


One may choose to wear clothing that relates to the gender they identify with, while another may receive hormone therapy or surgery as part of a full-time transition to the gender they identify with.


Each of these individuals may or may not experience significant feelings of distress or weakness as a result of their gender identity issues.


Adults with gender dysphoria usually feel uncomfortable with others being assigned the gender assigned to them, and often want to get rid of the physical symptoms associated with it.


Eating disorders:

It includes intense emotions, attitudes, and behaviors that involve weight and diet. anorexia, bulimia nervosa, and overeating are the foremost common eating disorders.


Tic disorders:


A person knowingly and deliberately creates physical and/or emotional symptoms. The person in need of help.


Somatic Symptom Disorders is a mental illness:


It is a psychosomatic disorder or somatoform disorder. The physical symptoms of illness or pain.
